Thanksgivings & Baptisms

When baby is born, families and friends want to celebrate.

A Service of Thanksgiving enables a family to give thanks to God for a child in the context of the church and wider community. It includes parents and godparents making commitments to the child, naming and also allows the possibility of baptism when the child is older and can make the decision for him or herself.

Baptism, or sometimes called “Christening”, is a service that marks membership of the church and so requires parents and godparents to make promises about following Jesus as teacher and Lord and to participate in the church family life. We would like to support you in making the right decision for your family.
